Storm Damage & Insurance Claims
Hit by hail or severe winds? We expertly navigate the insurance process for you — from free inspection to adjuster meeting to full restoration. You just pay your deductible.
Our Process
How Seal Top Helps You Win Your Claim.
We specialize in bridging the gap between roofing construction and insurance claims. Most homeowners are unaware their roof qualifies for a full insurance-covered replacement.
01
Free Comprehensive Inspection
Our trained experts get on your roof to look for the specific damage patterns that adjusters require. We document everything with high-resolution photos.
02
Filing the Claim
We guide you through contacting your insurance provider to open a claim, ensuring the correct terminology is used for the best possible outcome.
03
The Adjuster Meeting
This is the most crucial step. When the insurance adjuster comes, we meet them there. We point out damages and advocate on your behalf to ensure nothing is missed.
04
The Build
Once the claim is approved, the insurance company cuts a check and we get to work. Your only out-of-pocket expense is your standard deductible.
Know the Signs
4 Signs of Storm Damage to Look For.
Storm damage is insidious. A bruised shingle won't leak today or tomorrow, but it might in six months — causing severe interior damage and mold.
Bruised or Dented Shingles (Hail)
Hail leaves 'bruises' or dents on asphalt shingles. These impacts knock off the protective granules, exposing the asphalt to UV rays, which eventually leads to leaks.
Missing or Lifted Shingles (Wind)
High winds can snap shingles off or lift them. Even if a shingle isn't completely missing, a broken seal means water can be driven underneath.
Granules in Your Gutters
If you find a large accumulation of shingle granules at the bottom of your downspouts after a storm, it's a clear sign your roof took a beating.
Dents in Soft Metals
Check your gutters, downspouts, and mailbox. If these soft metals have hail dents, your roof almost certainly has damage too.
Wear-and-Tear vs. Storm Damage
Insurance companies do not pay for roofs that are simply old (wear-and-tear). However, if an "Act of God" — like a severe hail storm or high winds — damages your property, you have a valid claim.
The problem? Storm damage isn't always visible from the ground. That's why a professional inspection matters — and why we offer them free of charge.
